Prevents Algae Growth
Why? When phosphate builds up in any aquarium, it encourages the growth of undesirable algae. Some corals are particularly sensitive to even very low levels of phosphate and will not thrive.
What? Phosphate remover is a solid material which can be placed in the filter chamber to remove phosphate as the water passes through it.
When? Keep Phosphate Remover in the filter permanently and change it regularly, as recommended, and when phosphate reappears in the phosphate test.
Note: Phosphate Remover does not release any phosphate back into the water once it has become saturated. It can be disposed of once a phosphate level becomes measurable in the water.
Best used in conjunction with Filter Media Bags.
